Development Consultant
Position Overview
We’re looking for an engaging, organized, experienced development professional to help us expand and solidify our fundraising efforts as we prepare to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. The consultant will report directly to the Executive Director. Please note: Fluency in Spanish is not a requirement.
¡Adelante Latina! is a free, after-school academic enrichment and college access program for promising Latinas attending Baltimore City high schools. Working with our executive director, board of directors, development coordinator, fundraising committee and other staff, this individual will focus on advancing, expanding, and improving our fundraising strategy, by developing and executing a plan to better engage our current donors and attract new ones.
Scope of Work
● Organize an effective annual giving campaign by creating compelling support documents, concept papers, proposals, solicitation letters, and other cultivation and stewardship materials to send to current and potential donors and partners.
● Review existing giving patterns and develop a strategy for engaging/reengaging our smaller and lapsed donors.
● Create a plan for donor engagement for our board and executive director.
● Assist with prospecting, grant writing and management.
● Leverage our social media and website.
● Create a training program for board and staff in development best practices and procedures.
Location: The ideal candidate is based in the Greater Baltimore metropolitan region and is familiar with the Baltimore philanthropic community.
Consultant Fee: $45,000 maximum – based on agreed upon deliverables

About ¡Adelante Latina!
¡Adelante Latina! is a free, after-school academic enrichment and college access program for promising Latina girls attending Baltimore City high schools. Founded in 2013 by Leonor Blum, an Argentine immigrant and Professor Emerita at Notre Dame of Maryland University, this three-year, community-based college access program focuses on bright, academically driven Baltimore City 10th-12th grade Latinas.
