Engage with us! ¡Adelante Latina! welcomes involvement from the corporate and business community! There are so many ways to get involved and support our ambitious Latinas in high school, college and in the working world, and to support our organization through in-kind donations, sponsorships, and grants.
Internships, Mentorships & Interviews – Our students, most of whom are first generation students in college, will graduate into a world dependent on professional networks, interpersonal skills and know-how that their immigrant parents are not able to provide or teach them. We are eager to help them develop those skills, tap into networks and prepare them for the workforce after college.
Career Skill Building Workshops – Share your wisdom and experience by participating in a panel discussion on Zoom with our college students focused on professional skill development, resumes, LinkedIn, how to network, and other topics relevant to finding employment or internships.
Speak to us!
Each June, ¡Adelante Latina! conducts a one-week summer College Bootcamp for our rising juniors and rising seniors in high school. The camp focuses on exposing our students to different careers and fields of study through a variety of guest speakers. Share your story with our students, what you do and what educational path is necessary for your career.
Do you have an office or facility which would make an interesting field trip for our students? Our one-week summer camp is the ideal time to welcome our group and show them what your company does.
Sponsor dinners during the school year, or for our family fiestas, organize a social event or take part in a fundraiser. If you have an upcoming corporate event, consider including a fundraising component and invite us to be the designated charity.
As an immigrant, woman, and a minority, the mission of ¡Adelante Latina! really resonated with me. I wanted to support a local Baltimore program that helps empower young minority women by helping them pave a better future for themselves…I could not think of a better charity to support for the Diva Law golf tournament than an organization that helps create future strong, female leaders.”
